FiSH COVID-19 Appeal
FiSH Neighbourhood Care is asking for your support to help older and vulnerable people living in Barnes, Mortlake and East Sheen get through this unprecedented crisis. Working with the other local organisations, FiSH is very much part of Richmond Council’s front line response and are currently in touch with over 600 people in our community where we are actively supporting the most vulnerable.
However every day we receive new referrals for people who need our help. We have extended our Helpline where we can organise shopping and home delivery of essential food and medicines. We've also matching individuals who have said they’d like to receive a friendly telephone call with volunteers who are ringing them regularly. We organise transport to get people to hospital and medical appointments, and soon for vaccinatioms against the virus.
We need help with the extra costs we are incurring at a time when our traditional fundraising activities are on hold. Your donation will enable us to provide the essential support that so many older people who are home alone, self-isolating, really need.
What your donation could do:
- £10 pays for a criminal records check for a new volunteer
- £20 will enable a traditional lunch to be delivered to a couple on their own at Christmas
- £50 funds the FISH bus and driver to drop off shopping or meals to 20 homes
We are nearly there - please help us reach our target of £10K by the end of 2020. Thank you.
